Targeted support for organizations adapting to physical distancing measures

Sandbox Impact Program

  • Is the need for social/physical distancing causing you to modify a planned collaborative program or project in the areas of child and youth health and well-being?

  • Or, do you have a great idea for a cross-sector collaboration project that can be delivered virtually?

In this time of unprecedented change and uncertainty, our continued ability to work together is crucial. At the same time, the need for social/physical distancing has created unexpected obstacles in many organizations’ ability to collaborate in the usual ways.

To help our network to bridge urgent gaps, The Sandbox Project is leveraging its Sandbox Impact Program to provide specific support to charities and non-profits who are adapting their planned activities to virtual and social/physical distancing settings.

Working with our large network, the Sandbox Impact Program is making strategic connections among organizations to help them to deliver planned activities. A limited number of microgrants (up to $3,000) will be available to help cover immediate direct costs for approved applicants.

Your organization is eligible to apply for specific support, which could include a microgrant, if:

  • You are a Canadian charity or non-profit organization serving the health and/or wellbeing of children and youth in Canada;

  • The COVID-19 crisis has impacted your ability to collaborate across sectors (for example, with other charities/non-profits, youth-led initiatives, healthcare providers, educators, researchers or policymakers); and

  • You have not received a Sandbox Impact Program microgrant in 2019-2020.

The deadline to apply for support is Thursday, April 9th at 11:59 p.m. EST.
